The World Bridge Federation is proud to announce an exciting new global initiative: The e-Bridge Cup, created in collaboration with BBO and Funbridge — two of the world’s leading online bridge platforms. This innovative event is designed to reach bridge lovers everywhere, from passionate club players to those who enjoy a casual game at home. For the first time, players of all levels will have the chance to compete globally in an online format, playing individually with and against robots — a unique and modern experience.

🗓️ Key Dates

The qualification phase will run from 1st to 28th September 2025. Players who advance will compete in a semi-final and final with generous cash prizes and WBF Master Points awarded to top performers. But that’s not all! Players who don’t make it to the semi-final can continue their journey in the e-Cup2 — also offering excellent cash prizes. This structure ensures that everyone has a reason to play, especially newer and younger players who are developing their skills and confidence. 🔗 Full details, including the event format, entry fees, and how to register, can be found in our official presentation

A Vision for the Future

The e-Bridge Cup isn’t just a competition — it’s a bold step into the future of bridge. With the format of Human vs Artificial Intelligence, it offers elite players a new kind of training experience. It also aligns perfectly with the potential inclusion of bridge in the Olympic Esports Games to be held by the IOC in 2027.
