VISAS: If you require a visa to travel to Italy, please ensure that you apply for it in good time as applications are taking longer than normal to process. You must also ensure that your passport is in date and does not expire for at least 6 months after your return to your own country. Please check these requirements carefully through your own travel agent / government site. All the Italian Government protocols in place at the time of the Championships about Covid restrictions will apply and participants should ensure that they comply with them. Please check your own government site for the entry requirements for Italy and ensure you follow them carefully. Be aware that these may change nearer the time. We recommend that you search Google with the phrase “travel to Italy from *your country*” and look at your own government site for the current regulations. It is your responsibility to ensure that you follow the regulations in force at the time of the event For the first time an Under-31 category is to be introduced. This very important competition will give young players over the age of 25 the opportunity to continue to compete internationally in a Youth Championship. In particular this first edition in 2022 will allow all those young players who were unable to compete in the last two years because of the pandemic to make up for lost time and once again compete in a high level World Youth Championship and compete for the title of World Champion.- Under 31: for players born on or after 1st January 1992
- Under 26 Open: for players born on or after 1st January 1997
- Under 26 Women: for players born on or after 1st January 1997
- Under 21: for players born on or after 1st January 2002
- Under 16: for players born on or after 1st January 2007
