Nov 1st 2022. After winning silver in the Mixed Italian Cup on Sunday evening with their team, the very young talents of the Italian Bridge, aged 18 and 24 respectively, took to the tables of the Final A of the Mixed Pairs Championship. Immediately they imposed themselves at the top of the standings and after five racing sessions, with the overall percentage of 64.76% and the enormous gap of 7.84 percentage points from the closest rivals, they impressed for the umpteenth time their name in the history of our sport. In fact, it is even the 18th national title for Giovanni, owner of both the main national team and the youth one, in whose ranks this year he won European silver and world bronze for Open under 26 teams, medals won after that, at the beginning of the summer, with the senior national team he had obtained fourth place at the European Championships in Madeira, and therefore the qualification for the next World Championships. It is instead the third Italian gold for Federica; the youngest of the Dalpozzo sister-bridge trio this year brought our Federation the pride of a gold medal at the European Under 26 Women’s Team Championships and a world silver in the same category.
