Source: Εθνική Παίδων Μπριτζ FB Wall The Panhellenic Youth and Children’s Championships were completed with great success in Larissa. The organization was impeccable and every member of the OAML contributed to this with voluntary work, especially George Dimitrakopoulos who immediately resolved any issues that arose. We would like to thank Vasilhs Balesias who, with the assistance of Katerina Siahanidou, Christos Derekas and Vaso Themisoglou, refereed the match without any problems.

The assistance of the Region of Thessaly and the Municipality of Larissa played an important role in the success of the organization. Finally, we would not have achieved anything without the cooperation of all the children regardless of age and level, and their parents who stood by them. In the two championships, all the children were winners regardless of whether they finished in first or last place. The smile on their faces at the end of the games was the greatest satisfaction for all of us involved in bridge at young ages. For the story: In the Children’s Championship, first place was taken by Eleni with Giannis Kapidakis from Athens, second place by Maria Vlachou from Aigio with Nikolas Economou from Rhodes and third place, one of the pairs that were formed at the last minute, Efthymia Nikolopoulou from Volos with Othon Litke from Thessaloniki. The special prize for children U13 (among 7 pairs, a record number even for countries with much more young athletes) was won by Thodoris Manousakakis from Athens with Dimitris Vasiliou from Thessaloniki. Thodoris is a student of this year who was born on 1/5/2015 and was the youngest athlete in the competition. In the Youth Championship, first place was taken by Alexandros Gryllis from Rhodes with Iasonas-Iraklis Papaspyrou from Agrinio (champion for the 6th time with a different teammate each time), second place was taken by Ioanna Pollatou from Kefalonia with Panagiotis Skordas from Larissa and third place was taken by Dimitris Kapiris and Yiannis Fotinakis from Athens. The prize for the first U21 pair was taken, among 7 pairs, by Mandy Beligianni from Agrinio with Thomas Economou from Larissa.
