7th World Youth Transnational Bridge Championships

The Championships will be held at the Palazzo Dei Congressi in Salsomaggiore Terme from 7 – 14 August 2022

For the first time an Under-31 category is to be introduced. This very important competition will give young players over the age of 25 the opportunity to continue to compete internationally in a Youth Championship. In particular this first edition in 2022 will allow all those young players who were unable to compete in the last two years because of the pandemic to make up for lost time and once again compete in a high level World Youth Championship and compete for the title of World Champion.
  • Under 31: for players born on or after 1st January 1992
  • Under 26 Open: for players born on or after 1st January 1997
  • Under 26 Women: for players born on or after 1st January 1997
  • Under 21: for players born on or after 1st January 2002
  • Under 16: for players born on or after 1st January 2007
We are sure that these very enjoyable, challenging and popular Championships will prove very attractive to young players from all over the world. Since they are all Transnational events, it gives players a unique opportunity to play in partnerships and teams with friends from other countries –  maybe partnering friends that they have made online during the pandemic and can now finally meet face to face in competition.
