How do you play the clubs?
Bidding commentary:
You have more than you need for balancing 2 bid. North’s raise is encouraging; a cue bid of 3 would be even more encouraging.Play commentary:
Don´t tell me you took that question about how to play the clubs seriously! You shouldn’t be playing clubs at all! Force West lo lead club – much easier on the central nervous system. After you discover the trump break, cash dummy’s diamond and exit a heart to West. West must either give you a ruff and a sluff or break clubs. Once West leads a club, your worries in that suit are over.The Bottom Line:
1- Equal length suits (hearts) are good for something – throw in plays. 2- Before throwing a player in (West), strip that player of all safe exit cards (diamonds). The full deal:K 6 4 10 3 A K Q 10 7 5 4 2 | ||
