The night after winning the Collegiate Team Championship, Armin Askari and Kevin Rosenberg picked up another set of trophies when they won the premier running of the stratified Collegiate Bridge Bowl Pairs Championship. Askari, from Thornhill ON and Rosenberg, from Sunnyvale CA, attend the University of California at Berkeley. The pair, who finished more than two boards ahead of the pack, won $3000 in scholarship money.

Second place and $2000 in scholarship money went to Oosman Bashir and Jonathan Baumel of Harvard University. Just a fraction of a board behind the Harvard pair were Princeton students Aaron Balleisen and Nathan Finkle, who earned $1000 for their finish.

The Flight B winners were Santhosh Karnik and Zhuangdi “Andy” Xu from Georgia Tech. Second in B was won by Sarp Kurgan and Danning Lu University of California at Santa Barbara.
